Sidari is to be found at the north end of Corfu , about 40 km from Corfu town (Kerkyra) the capital of the island.

Originally Sidari used to be a small fishing village with not that many inhabitants. Over the 70's and 80's tourism arrived in Corfu and Sidari became an immediate “favorite” with the visitors. This was mostly due to its natural beauty and the long sandy beaches. Since then the resort never stopped developing and more tourists arrive every year.

Despite the large development Sidari still keeps its own unique character and it manages to cater for the needs of all different kinds of holiday makers.

Sidari is a resort suitable for all ages and tastes. Families will find it a safe resort for them and their children with places offering entertainment for all. Young couples and singles will enjoy the boisterous nightlife with a vast array of Bars, Clubs and Pubs to choose from.

Sidari has 5 different beaches, all of them are naturally sandy and the water is generally sallow for many meters in. The main beach is about 1 km long and 200 - 300m wide, which makes it one of the safest for bathers and especially for children.

One of Sidari's most famous land marks are the unusual cliff formations known as canal d amour (channel of love). The legend has it that if a couple swims together in its water they will be together forever.
